The stereotype that certain shoes are associated with being gay is a complex one, with roots in homophobia, sexism, and toxic masculinity. How did the stereotype that certain shoes are associated with being gay come about in the first place? Anyone can wear any type of shoe, regardless of their sexual orientation. They do not have any inherent meaning or association with any particular group of people. It is important to remember that shoes are just shoes. This stereotype can make it difficult for gay people to feel comfortable expressing themselves. The idea that certain types of shoes are gay is harmful because it reinforces the stereotype that there is a certain way that gay people are supposed to look. There are many famous people who have worn Vans shoes, including Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, and Rihanna. In fact, Vans shoes have been worn by people of all sexual orientations, including straight, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. However, there is no evidence to suggest that there is any connection between Vans shoes and homosexuality. The stereotype that Vans shoes are gay may have originated in the 1990s, when the shoe became popular with skaters and other alternative subcultures. Shoes are just shoes, and they can be worn by anyone, regardless of their sexual orientation. The idea that certain types of shoes are gay is a harmful stereotype that has no basis in reality. Built to support VBSS (Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure) / GOPLAT (Gas and Oil Platform) Maritime Exercises, the footwear features weather and stain resistant Warrior Suede®, mesh linings, perforated waffle sole for quicker draining response, a gusseted tongue, and one-piece constructed interior for a better fit.The footwear is complemented by Made-in-the-USA custom garment dyed apparel in white, black and MAS GREY.No, Vans shoes are not gay. Defcon was given the opportunityto expand upon this build and we are proud to present the following collection. The Defcon Comf圜ush SK8-HI™ Reissue LX and Comf圜ush OLD SKOOL™ LX were built in coordination with London Bridge Trading Company and highlights their Nylon MAS GREY (Maritime Assault Grey) fabric. “In the spring of 2019, Vans VAULT introduced a new construction regarded as Comf圜ush that utilizes a co-molded cupsole of proprietary foam and rubber for increased comfort and support. Oh, and what about the apparel that released alongside the shoes? Finally we get some hoodies! All of it’s Made In The USA too, so pay up suckers! It’s worth it. Anyways, this is the first time, and possibly the last? time we see a DEFCON Vault release! Pretty cool, and I’m glad to see the Old Skool make it’s way back. I still have trouble prying the ComplexCon exclusive Steve Van Doren Funko Pop! out of resellers hands on eBay, and they have no real connection to SVD or Vans! Sorry, I’m sounding like everyone else when I talk like that. This pack was supposed to release alongside the rest of the Comf圜ush shoes a few months back, which something else you may not know, the entire Comf圜ush campaign was supposed to launch at ComplexCon, but thankfully that didn’t happen. I wasn’t able to get any official pics until the website went live today, and I was able to get some official press release info from a classified source. Sorry for the late blog post about these, but DEFCON really does a great job of keeping things classified until go time, and they understand that they’re in high demand, so they try to cater to their loyalists first.
